This role is designed for a mid-level SRE who thrives in a "manager of one" environment and has a strong background in the Kubernetes ecosystem. You are likely an engineer who enjoys bridging the gap between operations and software development, with specific experience managing production workloads in GCP or AWS. Ideally, you are proficient in Go or Ruby and have a track record of using Infrastructure as Code (Ansible/Chef/Terraform) to eliminate manual toil.
The position offers exceptional flexibility through a fully remote, asynchronous work model, where you will handle on-call responsibilities during your local daytime hours rather than overnight. As part of a mission-driven organization, you’ll benefit from a robust perks package including equity compensation, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, a growth and development fund, and home office support. You will be working on one of the largest single-tenancy SaaS sites in existence, offering a unique opportunity to solve complex scaling and data-safeguarding challenges.
**You might be a good fit if you:**
* Have hands-on experience running Kubernetes and Helm in a large-scale production environment.
* Can write "production-quality" code in Go or Ruby to build automation tools.
* Value asynchronous communication and can work independently across global time zones.
* Are passionate about reducing toil and "automating yourself out of a task."
