You are the right fit if you enjoy the "farming" side of sales—focusing on renewals, upselling, and cross-selling—rather than pure cold-calling. Since Intercom is heavily focused on their "Fin" AI agent, an interest in AI-driven customer service solutions is essential. The compensation is highly competitive for a mid-level role, with an OTE reaching up to $190k plus equity. While this is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the San Francisco office, the trade-off is a high-growth environment that prioritizes internal promotions and "radically open" culture. The OTE range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $147,670 - $190,650. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
