This role is designed for a mid-level sales professional with 3 to 6 years of experience, specifically within the technology sector. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating complex, consultative sales cycles and can speak fluently to both C-suite executives and technical stakeholders like CTOs. Since this position focuses on "Existing Business" for startup platforms, you should be an expert at relationship management—balancing the need to nurture current accounts with a hunter’s instinct for expansion and outbound strategy. A standout aspect of this position is the opportunity to work with Stripe Connect, a cornerstone product for B2B software platforms. You’ll be at the intersection of sales and product strategy, frequently collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to influence the roadmap based on client feedback. While the role is based on-site in major hubs (Chicago, NY, or SF), it offers the prestige of managing a "named account list" composed of some of the most innovative startup platforms in the global economy. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have a proven track record of selling complex fintech or SaaS solutions to Mid-Market and Enterprise clients. * Enjoy "digging into" business models and conducting financial analyses to quantify value for customers. * Are a builder who wants to help refine sales processes and engagement models rather than just following a set script. * Can manage the full sales lifecycle independently, from cold prospecting to high-stakes closing.

### About the team

The Platform Velocity Sales team works with B2B Software Platforms to help them facilitate payments for their customers using our Stripe Connect product. Software Platforms, also known as B2B Indirect, are software platform businesses who serve other businesses. You will work with the next wave of startup platforms already using Stripe.

As a key member of the Stripe Platforms team, you will manage and elevate relationships with a named account list while identifying new growth opportunities and ways Stripe can exceed expectations.

As an Account Executive (Existing Business), you will create partnerships between Stripe and the most innovative and fastest-growing software platforms in the world by helping them to understand how Stripe’s online commerce infrastructure can make payments a competitive advantage for their businesses.

### Who you are

You are an adept salesperson and relationship manager capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organization, including the CTO, COO, and CFO. You have experience working with Startup, SMB, and Mid-Market companies. You have an in-depth understanding of the buyer journey and can lead a complex, multi-party sale in a highly consultative manner. You are used to building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require deep product understanding combined with technical knowledge. You are naturally analytical and enjoy digging into business models and helping customers quantify their investment decisions. You get excited about prospecting and are capable of independently leading a sales cycle from start to finish. Finally, you enjoy building – you like to actively participate in the development of our sales process, the articulation of our value proposition, and the creation of key tools and assets.
