This role is ideal for a junior-to-mid-level sales professional who thrives in a high-volume, "hunter" environment. Since it focuses on qualifying outbound leads for cloud contact center software, the perfect candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, previous experience in lead generation, and isn't afraid of the phones. You should be comfortable with a hybrid schedule in San Francisco or San Ramon and possess the "grit" to hit targets even when processes are still evolving. The position offers a clear path into Enterprise Sales, making it a great "stepping stone" role. While the base salary range is broad ($38k–$74k), the package is bolstered by commission, stock options, and an impressive benefits suite—notably 100% employer-paid healthcare premiums for employees and a 401k match. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Are comfortable making 50–80 cold calls per day to build a pipeline. * Have experience using Salesforce to track activities and manage lead dispositions. * Enjoy a "team-first" culture but can work independently to hit a monthly quota. * Can translate technical SaaS value propositions into consultative conversations.

As a member of the Business Development Team you will be responsible for generating pipeline for our Small/Mid-size and Enterprise Sales Teams. You will be the front line for presenting Five9 to prospects. Success in this role will lead to career opportunities in other areas of the sales organization and company. This position is located in San Ramon or San Francisco, and eligible for commission.
