Data Engineer, Finance at Notion

This role is ideal for a mid-to-senior Data Engineer with at least 4 years of experience who bridges the gap between core engineering and financial intelligence

Work type: onsite

Location: San Francisco, California

Salary: $170,000 – $240,000/yr

Type: Full-time

Summary

This role is ideal for a mid-to-senior Data Engineer with at least 4 years of experience who bridges the gap between core engineering and financial intelligence. You should be a SQL expert comfortable with object-oriented programming (Python/Java) and have a background in building data models for complex business systems like Stripe, NetSuite, or Salesforce. The compensation is highly competitive, reaching up to $240k plus equity. While the role offers "remote" flexibility, it follows a strict hybrid model requiring you to be in the San Francisco office three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). This is a foundational opportunity to build "source of truth" datasets for a high-growth company that is currently a darling of the productivity and AI space. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have integrated financial or payment systems data (Stripe/Netsuite) at high volumes. * Are a "builder" who prefers setting up new schema and pipelines over just maintaining existing ones. * Excel at dimensional modeling and creating "star schemas" for business teams. * Enjoy collaborating directly with Finance and Go-To-Market teams rather than working in an engineering silo.
