Work type: remote
Location: Remote
Salary: $70,000 – $100,000/yr
Type: Full-time
This role is designed for an experienced 401(k) professional who is tired of the traditional "compliance grind" and wants to pivot toward a client-facing advisory role. The ideal candidate has at least five years of technical administration experience and is well-versed in complex testing like ADP/ACP and Top Heavy. Since this is at a Third Party Administrator (TPA), you should have a solid grasp of plan design and a desire to act as a consultant for both plan sponsors and financial advisors.
The standout feature of this position is the commitment to work-life balance within an industry known for burnout. You are looking at a 37.5-hour work week, a fully remote setup with equipment provided, and a salaried non-exempt status—meaning you actually get paid for any overtime worked. Nova also focuses on "review-only" workflows, meaning you are supported by dedicated teams for plan documents, distributions, and implementation, allowing you to focus on managing your book of business.
**You might be a good fit if you:**
* Hold an ASPPA or NIPA credential (or a 4-year degree) and deeply understand non-discrimination testing.
* Prefer a "results-oriented" team environment over working in a silo.
* Are looking for a long-term remote home with a company that has offered remote work for over a decade.
* Want to transition away from data entry/processing and into strategic account management and consulting.
