Job Description

MongoDB is looking for a Director, CEO Communications to support the CEO across key communications moments for the company. This is a highly strategic, hands-on individual contributor role responsible for shaping and executing a clear, consistent narrative across customers, investors, and employees.

The person in this role will help connect the dots across quarterly earnings, company All Hands, flagship customer events such as .local, and other key leadership moments. They will work closely with the CEO, CMO, the CEO’s Chief of Staff, Investor Relations, and cross-functional partners to ensure our messaging is aligned, credible, and grounded in the business.

This is not a traditional communications manager role. We are looking for someone who can move quickly from strategy to draft to execution, operate with sound judgment in high-visibility moments, and serve as a trusted partner to the CEO. The right candidate is a strong writer, practical operator, and visual storyteller who is comfortable working across functions and audiences with speed, precision, and low ego. This person must be able to distill complex product roadmaps and financial data into a conversational narrative without losing technical accuracy.

The ideal candidate brings experience from high-growth, venture-backed, or founder-led environments and understands how to pair strong executive communications with external narrative-building.
