Director, Internal Communications
 

The Director, Internal Communications plays a critical role in how leaders connect with employees and how strategy comes to life across the enterprise — particularly during moments of change, transformation and heightened employee attention. This role serves as a trusted communications advisor to select members of The Hartford’s Executive Leadership Team and their direct reports, supporting a range of enterprise functions and initiatives, including but not limited to technology, data, AI, and operations.

This is a highly visible, strategic role for a communications leader who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, executive counsel and storytelling — and who brings sound judgment, influence and clarity to complex conversations.

This position is based at The Hartford’s headquarters in Hartford, CT and operates on a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$129,600 - $194,400
