This leadership role is designed for a strategic, high-impact veteran with 10+ years of experience in business development, account management, or management consulting. The ideal candidate has deep experience in the e-commerce, creator platform, or marketplace space and is comfortable navigating the ambiguity of a rapidly scaling startup. You should be a "player-coach" who can pitch C-suite executives one hour and dive into data-driven performance metrics the next. The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from **$260k to $295k**, supplemented by a robust benefits package including a 4% 401k match and generous allowances for home office, wellness, and childcare. While the role is "on-site" in New York or San Francisco, it offers a modern, flexible approach to work-from-home and a unique "dogfooding" budget to spend directly on the platform. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have a proven track record of managing multi-million dollar seller or creator accounts. * Are proficient with data tools like **Sigma**, **Gong**, and **Salesforce** to drive commercial narratives. * Possess strong negotiation skills and can influence product roadmaps based on partner feedback. * Genuinely love live commerce, collectibles, or the creator economy.

## 💻 Role

The Strategic Partnerships team builds deep, long-term relationships with Whatnot sellers—guiding them to scale efficiently, elevate buyer experience, and innovate on the platform.

This role sits at the intersection of partnership management, category strategy, and go-to-market execution. You’ll partner closely with your Category Lead, Marketing, Trust & Safety, and Product teams to turn seller insights into action and ensure your team delivers exceptional results for sellers and buyers.

As the Director of Key Accounts, you will lead the strategy and execution for Whatnot’s most influential seller partnerships. This is a highly visible, high-impact role where you’ll define and activate long-term growth plans, translate seller insights into company-wide priorities, and partner cross-functionally to ensure our sellers and categories reach their full potential.








We offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs, and we value in-person time for planning, problem-solving, and connection. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our San Francisco or New York City hubs.
