This role is designed for a seasoned compensation leader with a background in fast-scaling, global technology environments. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in equity mechanics and market-based benchmarking, specifically within the late-stage private (pre-IPO) sector. While the focus is heavily on compensation strategy, you will also oversee a small team of specialists managing payroll, benefits, and stock administration.
The compensation is highly competitive, reaching up to **$306k base** in San Francisco. Checkr offers a robust benefits package, including 100% medical coverage and a $25k reimbursement for family planning. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the Denver or San Francisco office, offering the perks of an in-office culture (like daily lunch and commuter stipends) alongside the mission-driven goal of fair-chance hiring.
