This role is designed for a seasoned technical leader with at least 10 years of experience in Solutions or Sales Engineering, specifically within the modern web development ecosystem. You should be deeply familiar with the JavaScript/React landscape and have at least 5 years of experience managing high-performing SE teams. Vercel is looking for a leader who can balance high-level organizational planning with hands-on technical coaching for complex, executive-level deals. The compensation is highly competitive, reaching up to $386k OTE plus equity, reflecting the seniority of the position. While the role offer the flexibility of remote work for those outside commuting distance, being near an office hub (SF, NYC, or Austin) provides a hybrid team environment. As the "Director of AMER," you’ll have significant influence over the company’s regional growth strategy and the opportunity to shape a team building for the "AI-native web." **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have successfully scaled Sales Engineering teams in a high-growth SaaS or Cloud Infrastructure environment. * Remain technically fluent in technologies like Next.js, Node.js, CI/CD, and cloud APIs. * Excel at bridging the gap between field feedback and internal Product/Engineering roadmaps. * Are comfortable acting as the technical face of the brand at major industry conferences and customer events.
