This is a high-impact leadership role for a seasoned engineering executive with a deep background in security and fraud prevention. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience, specifically within developer tools, SaaS, or cloud infrastructure. You should have a track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams that bridge the gap between backend software engineering, data science, and policy enforcement.
The role offers a significant compensation package ($200k–$300k base plus equity) and reports directly to the CTO of Security. While labeled as remote, it requires an **in-office presence three days a week (Mon, Tue, Fri)** in San Francisco, making it a "hub-centric" hybrid role. You’ll be at the forefront of tackling modern threats like AI-generated fraud and synthetic accounts for a platform that powers some of the world's largest brands.
