This role is designed for a technical engineer with a deep background in testing and analyzing complex decentralized networks. It is ideal for someone who operates at the intersection of QA and Systems Engineering, possessing strong scripting skills (Python) and a solid grasp of systems programming (Go, Rust, or Nim). You should be comfortable working with peer-to-peer (P2P) networking protocols like libp2p and managing large-scale deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
As part of the Distributed Systems Testing team, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy in a **fully remote, worldwide** environment. A standout feature of this position is the flexible compensation policy, allowing you to choose a **mix of fiat and cryptocurrency** for your salary. You’ll be working on the cutting edge of Web3 technology, evaluating the "foundational layers" of the decentralized web including blockchain, private messaging, and storage protocols.
**You might be a good fit if you:**
* Have experience modeling protocol behavior and analyzing large-scale network data using tools like Pandas.
* Are proficient in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and comfortable in POSIX environments.
* Have a strong interest in digital liberties, privacy-preserving tech, and open-source development.
* Can troubleshoot intricate bugs within distributed systems and translate that data into actionable technical reports for development teams.
