We’re hiring an EDI Implementation Analyst to join a small, highly specialized team that supports production health plan integrations. In this role, you’ll manage complex configuration changes for health plan partners, ensuring claims data flows accurately and reliably through Availity’s platform. This is a hands-on role that blends technical configuration work with strong analytical thinking and cross‑team collaboration.

To be qualified for this position you will have:
- Minimum of 4 years related experience in a technology (information exchange) and/or health care environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience analyzing, interpreting, and validating business requirements, not just executing instructions
- Ability to balance technical execution with thoughtful problem-solving
- Ability to collaborate with external partners and internal partners including production support teams and information technology
- Understanding of HIPAA implementation guides for claim and other transactions
- Knowledge of the health care industry HIPAA mandated ANSI transaction formats.
- Working knowledge of the X12 transactions specifically 837P, 837I, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278, CCR/CCD, and HL7 transaction sets
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to prepare documented customer requirements
You will set yourself apart with:- A background working with health plans, clearinghouses, or payer systems
- Experience in environments with production releases and structured change management.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
What you will be doing:- Managing and executing change request tickets from premium health plan partners using JIRA
- Analyzing and validating business requirements, ensuring requests are accurate, complete, and make sense before implementation
- Configuring receiver configurations, including edits and enrichments, using Availity’s internal tool EPDM
- Coordinating with development teams when changes require code-level updates
- Serving as a key point of contact for connectivity and data issues, acting as “air traffic control” to route and resolve issues effectively
- Performing functional testing and support production releases
- Participating in monthly production releases and occasional minor releases
- Working closely with internal teams such as Health Plan Analysts, Account Management, and Payment Accuracy
