Summary

This is an ideal "bridge" role for current or former K-12 educators (minimum 2 years experience) looking to transition into the EdTech industry. While the title says "Consultant," the core of the work is high-volume inside sales. You’ll be reaching out to "warm" leads—parents who have engaged with the platform but haven't committed to a subscription—using your pedagogical expertise to build trust and close deals. The position is a three-month provisional "trial" with a flat pay rate of $23/hr. It offers the flexibility of being fully remote, though you must be willing to work some evenings and weekends to reach parents when they are home. While there is no guarantee, it serves as a potential doorway into a permanent role with a highly successful, talent-dense startup. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have at least 2 years of classroom teaching experience and a Bachelor’s degree. * Are comfortable meeting daily activity metrics (calls/emails) and monthly revenue targets. * Can translate educational needs into product solutions for concerned parents. * Have a quiet home office setup and are tech-savvy enough to manage a CRM and virtual tools.

Job Description

Note on Role Status

This is a three-month provisional position (a type of temporary employment). Think of it as a chance for us to get to know each other: it’s a time for training, learning, and seeing how we work together. At the end of this period, there’s no guarantee of moving into a regular role with ClassDojo—but if things go well and expectations are met, you may be considered for regular employment.

ClassDojo's goal is to give every child on Earth an education they love.

We started by building a powerful network for communication. ClassDojo’s flagship app is the #1 communication app connecting K-12 teachers, children, and families globally. Teachers use it to share what’s happening throughout the day through photos, videos, and messages that make parents feel like they’re there. It’s actively used in over 95% of US schools, reaching over 45 million children in 180 countries, with a team of just around 200 people [1]. We are now beginning to use this network to give kids the best learning experiences in the world, far beyond those a standard school can provide.

We hire for talent density. Our team comprises the most talented, entrepreneurial, and innovative teammates from around the world, with experience in education and large scale consumer internet companies, including Instagram, Netflix, Dropbox, Stripe, Uber, Y Combinator, and more. We’re building a company where the most talented people want to work. We believe you’ll do the best work of your life here—and you’ll pioneer the future of education, too.
