This role is designed for an experienced engineering leader with a strong technical foundation in software security and open-source ecosystems. The ideal candidate has transitioned from a high-performing developer (mastery in C, Go, Python, or Java) into a management role, demonstrating a passion for mentoring talent and managing the lifecycle of vulnerabilities (CVEs). A deep interest in Linux—specifically Ubuntu or Debian—is a significant advantage. Canonical offers a mature, remote-first culture that prioritizes global collaboration.
