This role is for a seasoned legal professional with 6+ years of experience in M&A or Private Equity who is ready to be a "founding" legal hire. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of both US and European legal frameworks and feels comfortable navigating a "buy-and-build" strategy. Since the company prioritizes a lean, tech-forward approach, they are looking for someone who views AI and automation as essential tools for managing a portfolio of SaaS companies rather than relying on massive teams or external counsel. The standout feature of this position is the extreme level of autonomy and flexibility. It is a 100% remote leadership role with a high-trust culture, meaning you can work from anywhere without the drag of bureaucracy or excessive meetings. You will have a direct impact on the executive team, overseeing a $100M debt facility and leading the legal strategy for approximately five acquisitions per year across multiple international jurisdictions. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have extensive experience leading cross-border M&A deals and managing legal due diligence. * Are proficient with Delaware corporate law and have familiarity with European jurisdictions (Germany, France, etc.). * Are an early adopter of AI tools and legal-tech automation to streamline workflows. * Thrive in a fast-paced, asynchronous environment where status is measured by output, not hours logged.
This role is part of our Central Team at saas.group.
