## JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX News Media is seeking a General Manager – Commerce to lead and aggressively scale one of the organization’s fastest-growing revenue businesses. Reporting to the SVP of Business Development, this executive will own the full Commerce P&L and oversee the strategic, operational, editorial, partnership, and product-driven components of the business.
This role is both transformational and execution-oriented. The General Manager will set ambitious revenue goals in partnership with Finance and the SVP of Business Development, define the initiatives required to achieve them, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver category-defining growth. This leader will oversee key senior leads across commerce functions, including partnerships, editorial, and other core revenue-driving areas, ensuring tight integration between content, monetization, product experience, and marketplace strategy.
The ideal candidate brings deep commerce expertise, strong financial acumen, marketplace fluency, and the ability to drive alignment across a complex, multi-platform media organization.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the full Commerce P&L, including revenue growth, margin performance, forecasting, and operational oversight
- Partner with Finance and the SVP of Business Development to set annual and multi-year revenue targets
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive aggressive, scalable growth
- Lead rapid-growth and transformation projects that materially accelerate revenue
- Oversee senior leaders across key commerce functions, including partnerships, editorial, and related monetization teams
- Establish clear KPIs and performance standards across content, conversion, marketplace performance, and revenue contribution
- Serve as the senior commerce and marketplace expert within the business unit
- Lead strategy across affiliate, performance marketing, and major marketplace platforms (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and emerging channels)
- Define and evolve the vision for the consumer-facing commerce product experience in partnership with Product and Engineering
- Drive optimization across conversion, user experience, category expansion, and monetization models
- Identify and activate commerce opportunities across Fox News’ digital ecosystem, with expansion into additional touchpoints including linear
- Lead expansion of Commerce into advertising sales opportunities, including retail media, data-driven monetization, and integrated sponsorship solutions
- Build alignment and secure buy-in from key stakeholders across the business unit, including CDO, Finance, Editorial, Product, Ad Sales, and other executive leaders
- Influence cross-functional initiatives to ensure commerce integration enhances overall audience and business objectives
WHAT YOU WILL NEED- 15+ years of overall professional experience, with significant senior leadership experience in commerce, marketplace, or publisher commerce environments
- Demonstrated P&L ownership with a track record of scaling high-growth revenue businesses
- Deep understanding of affiliate marketing, performance media, marketplace economics, retail partnerships, and publisher monetization strategies
- Experience leading commerce within a major publisher, digital media company, marketplace organization, or high-growth DTC business
- Proven ability to operate at the executive level and gain alignment across multiple stakeholders and business units
- Strong financial acumen and data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience managing consumer-facing digital products and partnering closely with product and engineering teams
- Experience developing commerce-driven advertising or retail media solutions is strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive both strategy and execution
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining rigorous operational discipline
