Type: Full-time
This role is designed for a technical leader with a deep background in Linux and Infrastructure-as-Code who wants to manage high-performance DevOps teams. You should have a proven track record in SaaS operations and a passion for open-source software. This is a "player-coach" environment where academic excellence and technical aptitude for complex distributed systems are as important as your management skills.
A standout feature is the global, remote-first culture that has been in place since 2004. While you’ll work from home in the APAC or EMEA region, you will travel internationally twice a year for two-week "sprints." The company offers a structured $2,000 annual professional development budget, performance-based bonuses, and travel perks like Priority Pass to make your team meetups more comfortable.
**You might be a good fit if you...**
* Have extensive experience managing DevOps teams and delivering software via GitOps or IaC.
* Are a Linux expert comfortable working across the full stack, from bare metal to Kubernetes.
* Enjoy mentoring engineers while maintaining high standards for code quality and service level agreements.
* Can travel internationally for up to two weeks at a time for in-person collaboration.
