Work type: remote

Location: Home Based - Americas

Type: Full-time

This role is for an experienced executive leader with a deep background in the Linux and cloud software ecosystem. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing high-stakes strategic alliances (specifically with major players like IBM) and leading global teams of business development managers. You should be comfortable navigating complex "sell-to, sell-through, and sell-with" motions while maintaining senior-level executive relationships. The most unique aspect of this position is the "remote-first" culture that replaces daily office life with highly collaborative in-person "sprints" in international locations 2–4 times a year. While the base salary is not disclosed, the package includes a $2,000 annual learning budget, a performance-based bonus, and travel perks like Priority Pass and long-haul upgrades. This is a leadership-level opportunity to influence the global footprint of Ubuntu in the enterprise AI and IoT space. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have extensive experience managing strategic alliances within the Linux, virtualization, or container (K8s) sectors. * Are a disciplined, autonomous leader who enjoys high-pressure environments with measurable growth goals. * Are willing to travel internationally to drive partnerships in person and attend global team summits. * Have a "get-it-done" mentality and can transition seamlessly between high-level strategy and operational execution.
