Work type: remote
Location: Remote - Mexico
Type: Full-time
This role is designed for a software engineer with at least two years of experience who has a background in low-level systems like distributed backends, operating system internals, or large-scale databases. You should be highly proficient in Go, Python, or C++ and comfortable managing high-throughput ingestion pipelines.
**What makes it worth a look...**
You get to work on one of the industry's most massive observability platforms, moving toward OpenTelemetry standards while handling petabyte-scale data metadata. Dropbox is offering this as a fully remote role in Mexico, providing a rare chance to work on world-class infrastructure from anywhere in the country.
**You might be a good fit if you...**
* Have experience building large-scale, multi-threaded backend systems that handle millions of concurrent connections.
* Are comfortable working with Go or Python to redesign data ingestion pipelines.
* Understand the nuances of concurrency primitives like semaphores and mutexes.
* Want to transition legacy observability systems toward modern OpenTelemetry standards.
