About The Team:
You will work with a cross-functional team within Autodesk Research, including members of the Simulation, Optimization and Systems (SOS), Industry Futures, and Engineering organizations. Together, the team explores the future of product design for Autodesk’s Design & Manufacturing customers, bridging research, advanced engineering, and real-world workflows. As a member of the team, you will have access to state-of-the-art workshops and manufacturing expertise within the Autodesk Toronto Technology Centre.
About The Role:
As an Intern at Autodesk, you will be immersed in driving and owning projects that directly impact our customers, internal teams, or core products. You’ll work alongside cross functional teams and mentors within Autodesk Research, gaining hands-on experience to further drive personal growth. In this role you will investigate and prototype a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach tailored for the conceptual design of small-scale mechanical assemblies. The intern will explore integration of MBSE practices with computational geometry, AI/ML methods, and CAD/CAM workflows to improve early design fidelity.
Responsibilities:
The 2026 Canada program runs for 16 weeks (May 4 – August 21). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development.
