This is a senior-level leadership role for an experienced engineer who excels at bridging the gap between technical execution and business strategy. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of experience in enterprise software development and is comfortable leading end-to-end delivery of complex application products. While it is a high-level engineering role, it carries significant people management responsibilities, including recruitment, performance reviews, and resource planning.
The role offers exceptional geographic flexibility, with remote work supported across more than 20 states. The salary range is broad ($102,900 – $190,500), reflecting the seniority and potential impact of the position. Additionally, you’ll benefit from a comprehensive "big company" package, including stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, and a clear path toward technical architecture or management.
**You might be a good fit if you...**
* Have a strong background in legacy or enterprise systems, specifically involving Cobol, C, or VMS environments.
* Enjoy mentoring staff and managing the "people side" of engineering, including hiring and performance appraisals.
* Are comfortable collaborating with Enterprise Architects to design conceptual and detailed technical documents.
* Want a fully remote role within a stable, national healthcare organization.
