Job Description

SailPoint's Legal Team has been scaling to support the company by strategically embedding AI and automation across its processes and workflows. We are looking for a Legal Operations Specialist who will support the Legal team in implementing technology solutions, building and optimizing workflows, and managing administrative and operational tasks.
This role will report to the Legal Operations Manager and will work closely with the entire legal team and stakeholders across the organization, including team members in IT, Procurement, Compliance, and Cyber.
Responsibilities:
- Lead process improvement projects including identifying gaps, designing solutions, and implementing changes.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and key deliverables and track progress to ensure timely execution.
- Maintain legal technology stack and drive adoption within Legal team. Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of legal technology solutions, including AI-powered tools.
- Champion the use of AI tools (i.e. Ivo, GC AI, Gemini Enterprise) to automate and optimize Legal team workflows such as contract review, playbook development, legal request intake, and reporting.
- Support Knowledge Management efforts including helping to develop and maintain playbooks, training materials, and self-service resources for business partners as well as optimize SharePoint organization.
- Build and maintain legal department dashboards and reports highlighting key metrics.
The Path to Success:1-Month Milestones- Absorb knowledge regarding current legal team processes, existing technology stack, and key stakeholders.
- Meet key stakeholders within the legal team and cross-functional partners.
2-Month Milestones- Solidify relationships with core team members and relevant cross-functional partners to understand their operational needs.
- Begin performing routine activities related to maintaining the legal technology stack and supporting initial workflow optimizations independently.
- Prepare initial drafts of project plans for prioritized process improvement or automation initiatives.
3-Month Milestones- Present specific plans to key stakeholders for prioritized process improvement or automation initiatives.
- Become fully ramped on core tools and processes, including SharePoint organization and initial dashboard/report generation.
- Actively champion the use of AI tools in at least one workflow (e.g., contract review or legal request intake).
6-Month Milestones- Achieve concrete quantitative results, such as specific projects delivered (e.g., successful implementation of a new AI automated workflow or improvement of a key workflow).
- Refine metrics to equip leadership with data needed to support long-term strategic goals for scaling legal operations through technology and automation.
Requirements: - 2-4 years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, project management, or a related function within an in-house legal department, law firm, or technology company.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in evaluating, implementing, and managing legal technology, with a basic understanding of AI applications in the legal domain (e.g., for contract analysis, legal research, or workflow automation)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including experience building reports and dashboards. Experience with data visualization tools are a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
- Experience using Asana or similar project management tools to manage workstreams and cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with attorneys, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$85,100 - $143,370.00Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
