Location: Office Based - Taipei, Taiwan

Type: Full-time

This role is designed for a seasoned engineering leader with a deep background in the Linux ecosystem and hardware enablement. The ideal candidate has experience managing teams that interface directly with global OEMs and ODMs (like Dell, HP, or Lenovo) to ship pre-installed Ubuntu systems. You should be comfortable bridging the gap between high-level project management and low-level debugging. A standout aspect of this position is its global reach and technical influence. While based on-site in Taipei, you will collaborate with distributed teams in the EU and USA and play a critical role in the "Device Delivery" lifecycle—from initial kickoff to post-mortem. This is a high-visibility leadership role where your work directly impacts millions of end-users who receive Ubuntu pre-loaded on their hardware. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have a strong technical track record with Ubuntu, Debian, or Linux kernel development. * Are billingual in English and Chinese and comfortable traveling internationally. * Enjoy mentoring engineers while managing complex delivery schedules for tier-1 hardware partners. * Have hands-on experience with packaging (deb/snap), CI/CD, and low-level system debugging.
