Summary

This role is designed for a seasoned Data Science leader with at least 8 years of experience, specifically at the intersection of marketing, growth, and revenue optimization. You should be a "player-coach" who is equally comfortable architecting advanced causal inference models and mentoring a high-performing team. A strong academic background in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, or CS) is essential to lead their move into next-gen AI and ROI modeling. The position offers a highly competitive salary range ($202k - $303k) plus equity, making it a top-tier opportunity for senior leadership in the Bay Area. While it requires being in the San Francisco office three days a week, you’ll be joining a mission-driven organization where your work directly impacts global fundraising and charitable giving. This role will build and scale the foundations of applied data science and AI that empower our Marketing, Growth, and Finance teams to make high-confidence, ROI-positive investment decisions. You’ll serve as a player-coach for a talented group of experienced data scientists, driving innovation while ensuring excellence in delivery.

Candidates considered for this role will be located in the San Francisco, Bay Area. There will be an in-office requirement of 3x a week.The Job

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $202,000 - $303,000 + equity + benefits. In addition to this wage, there are geolocation differentials that will increase pay depending on the work location. Additionally pay may vary depending on other factors including skills, experience, education, or training.
