Role Overview
The Managing Consultant is a client-facing leader responsible for the end-to-end delivery of data products, solutions, and services to our clients. This role combines strategic consulting, hands-on delivery management, and commercial growth responsibilities. The Managing Consultant will design, launch, and expand product and service lines, ensuring that offerings are innovative, scalable, and aligned with both client needs and the Epiq Advisory (Fireman) Data Modernization team’s strategic objectives.
This Role reports to the Sr. Director, Technology, Data, and AIKey Responsibilities
- Client Advisory: Advise clients on best practices in data governance, quality, integration, and AI enablement, with a focus on compliance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships, expectations, and ensuring successful delivery of all engagement aspects.
- Service Delivery Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of client engagements—from discovery and solution design through delivery, adoption, and ongoing support.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the Data Modernization team in client pitches, industry events, and thought leadership forums.
- Solution Leadership: Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of data operations, governance frameworks, and analytics platforms tailored for legal industry clients, with a focus on modern data and AI.
- Product Innovation: Develop and grow product and service lines, ensuring offerings remain competitive and responsive to evolving client and market needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, engineers, product managers, KM and innovation professionals, and attorneys to deliver high-quality, innovative data products and services.
- Commercial Growth: Assist in identifying market opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies, and supporting business development to drive the commercial success of the Data Modernization team
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in legal, consulting, or professional services environments.
- Proven experience managing delivery of data products, solutions, or services—preferably for law firms or professional services organizations.
- Deep expertise in data operations, governance, and analytics, including the implementation of AI/ML solutions and automation of data processes.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements relevant to the legal industry.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring talent in a high-performance environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to design and grow product and service lines, with a strong commercial acumen
- Familiarity with SaaS product development, cloud data platforms, and legal technology solutions.
- Certifications or degrees in Data, AI, Technology, or other disciplines that are relevant to law firm focused technology, knowledge management and innovation. (Particularly Microsoft Certifications)

The Compensation range for this role is $200,000 up to $250,000 annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. This will be based on your background and skills alignment with the role.
