Brown & Brownis seeking Medical Malpractice Producer to join our growing team in Tampa, FL!
The Medical Malpractice Producer serves as a lead producer and trusted risk advisor specializing in medical professional liability for podiatrists and other healthcare professionals. This role is responsible for driving new business production, retaining and expanding an assigned book of business, and cultivating long-term relationships with physicians, practice administrators, and carrier partners.
How You Will Contribute:
- Proactively identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities within the healthcare and medical professional market.
- Build rapport and credibility with physicians, practice owners, administrators, and office managers through consultative conversations.
- Develop and execute individual sales strategies to grow production and meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Network through professional associations, referrals, trade shows, and industry events to expand pipeline.
- Serve as a visible representative of the agency in the medical community.
- Maintain and grow a renewal book of medical professional liability accounts.
- Lead renewal strategy, including market selection, coverage review, pricing negotiation, and client presentation.
- Identify cross-sell and coverage enhancement opportunities within existing accounts.
Licenses & Certifications: - State Agent Insurance License required.
Skills & Experience to be Successful: - HS Diploma or equivalent is required; Prefer a college degree.
- Experience selling medical malpractice or insurance products to healthcare professionals strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships.
- Skill and ability to type 40 wpm.
- Operate office equipment and a PC, use computer software to include, but not limited to, Word Perfect, Excel, Applied, Power Point, and ET Files.
- Knowledge of good business practices and office procedures.
- Ability to exercise prudent judgment in adhering to business and personnel guidelines.
- Ability to be a passenger on a plane, drive a motor vehicle, rent a motor vehicle, and maintain a good driving record.
