The Protocols team Product Manager is responsible for driving the day-to-day management of one of our blockchain teams. We partner with the leading protocols and their direct investors to build whatever on-chain interaction they require that may include custody, staking, and governance support. This role requires a combination of technical understanding, business acumen, and leadership skills to build new asset support, manage our backlog of features and maintenance improvements, and think strategically about scaling the way we work.
## Technical Skills:
- Independently define the requirements and roadmap, collaborating closely with an agile scrum team on blockchain integrations.
- Proactively research protocol integrations with emerging blockchains, developing on-chain solutions that drive value for protocol foundations and institutional investors.
## Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Lead your blockchain team in day-to-day operations and drive cross-team initiatives, ensuring alignment with project goals and ownership of your team and their focus area.
- Work closely with sales, design, and engineering - set the pace, drive projects forward and unblock the team. Write high quality PRDs that are clearly written and easy to understand.
## Organizational Knowledge:
- Understand the requirements that span across departments including compliance, legal, and operations to ensure we’re building the right product or service and escalating the potential impact to the appropriate stakeholders and and your managers when appropriate.
## Communication and Influence:
- Educate your scrum team on needs from external protocols teams.
- Communicate the roadmap clearly and persuasively across stakeholders.
- Adapt communication both internally and externally in an effective manner. Explain and convince others the need to adapt or change processes, policies, structures, and methods to deliver their goals.
## You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- You have 3-5 years of relevant product management experience. Experience with blockchain and web3 companies not required.
- You have experience in driving and managing complex projects across multiple teams, demonstrating exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills.
- You have a background in engineering, equipping you with the acumen to effectively collaborate with technical teams to solve problems.
- Your empathy and adaptability not only complement others’ working styles but also embody our culture of curiosity, creativity, and shared understanding
- You are autonomous, with the ability to make informed decisions that align with our strategic goals.
- You are deeply invested in optimizing the end-user experience and leveraging it to create business value.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
