Summary

This role is designed for a seasoned backend engineer with at least 8 years of experience who excels at building high-stakes, distributed systems. The ideal candidate has a deep background in designing multi-tenant platform architectures and customer-facing APIs, particularly within regulated environments like fintech or banking. While crypto experience is a bonus, the team prioritizes strong systems design fundamentals and a disciplined approach to security and reliability. This is a high-impact, fully remote "greenfield" opportunity where you will architect the infrastructure powering institutional digital asset adoption. You’ll be working for a Series D unicorn that holds the distinction of being the first federally chartered crypto bank in the US. The position offers significant autonomy to influence the product roadmap and technical direction, balancing the speed of a startup with the rigorous standards of a traditional financial institution. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have 8+ years of experience with backend services (ideally using C++, Go, or Rust) and cloud-native microservices. * Are comfortable owning the entire lifecycle of a feature, from architectural design to on-call production support. * Value "boring" reliability and security over "cool tech" when handling mission-critical financial transactions. * Enjoy mentoring mid-level engineers and collaborating across legal, compliance, and security teams.
