Work type: remote
Location: United States
Type: Full-time
This role is ideal for a seasoned "full-stack" systems engineer who enjoys building the engine that keeps a company running. While listed as "Entry-level" in the metadata, the requirements specify **5+ years of experience** building complex internal software and microservices. You should be equally comfortable jumping into legacy codebases as you are architecting new tools from scratch to automate manual operations. The standout feature of this position is the high-impact, cross-functional nature of the work. You’ll be building the infrastructure for the first federally chartered crypto bank, working in a fully remote environment with the added perk of quarterly in-person "Village" collaboration days. It’s a great fit for someone who values business efficiency and reliable code over chasing the latest "hype-cycle" technologies. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have 5+ years of experience with distributed systems and cloud-native microservices. * Are proficient in (or eager to master) **Python** or **Go** and **Kubernetes**. * Prioritize end-user experience and operational efficiency over complex technical abstractions. * Enjoy "detective work"—navigating diverse codebases to identify and fix bottlenecks.
At Anchorage Digital, we are building the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions to participate in crypto.
Founded in 2017, Anchorage Digital is a regulated crypto platform that provides institutions with integrated financial services and infrastructure solutions. With the first federally chartered crypto bank in the US, Anchorage Digital offers institutions an unparalleled combination of secure custody, regulatory compliance, product breadth, and client service. We’re looking to diversify our team with people who are humble, creative, and eager to learn.
We are a remote friendly, global team, but provide the option of working in-office in New York City, Sioux Falls, Porto, Lisbon, and Singapore. For our colleagues not located near our beautiful offices, we encourage and sponsor quarterly in-person collaboration days to work together and further deepen our Village.
You will be a part of our Internal Tooling Engineering team, dedicated to dramatically improving our operational efficiency. This means you'll be on the front lines, building capabilities into existing back-office systems to reduce manual work and consolidate disparate systems. Your role demands a highly adaptable and comprehensive technical skillset, as you'll not only create net-new backend services and capabilities but also integrate with and build upon a wide range of existing backend and frontend services. Your impact will be significant as you collaborate directly with our Global Operations teams to identify critical pain points, prioritize initiatives, translate operational needs into technical requirements, and ultimately design, develop, and deploy solutions that empower our entire organization.
We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Member of Technical Staff, Corporate Engineering role
