Summary

This role is designed for a high-autonomy Technical Program Manager with a strong engineering foundation (5+ years of experience) who thrives in ambiguity. You aren’t just tracking tasks; you are expected to evaluate technical architectures, challenge assumptions, and lead multi-quarter initiatives across the entire engineering organization. If you have a "Member of Technical Staff" mindset and can treat program management as an engineering discipline, you’ll fit right in. As a fully remote position (specifically mentioning New York context), this role offers significant influence without the need for traditional management authority. You will have the leverage to identify org-wide gaps and build the business case to fix them. While not required, experience in the fintech or highly regulated financial services space is a major plus, as is the ability to write code (Python, Go, or JavaScript) to prototype your own solutions or tooling. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have a background in software engineering and can hold your own in architecture reviews with senior engineers. * Proactively identify "high-leverage" problems and solve them without waiting for an assignment. * Can navigate complex organizational dynamics to facilitate tough prioritization or kill projects that aren't working. * Enjoy "building the plane while flying it" in a fast-paced environment where compliance and security are paramount.
