This role is ideal for a mid-level sales professional with a strong background in the North American software channel ecosystem. Since Canonical is a founder-led, globally distributed company, they are looking for a "self-starter" who can navigate a lean, startup-style environment. You should have a solid grasp of open source technology, virtualization, and cloud models (Private, Hybrid, and Public) to effectively recruit and enable distributors and resellers.
The standout feature of this position is the remote-first culture; Canonical has been pioneers in distributed work since 2004. While you'll work from home in the US or Canada, you will travel internationally 2–4 times a year for in-person team "sprints." * Have a proven track record of meeting quotas through both "hunting" new partners and "farming" existing accounts.
