RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the People Operations team, and reporting to the Director of Employee Engagement & Relations, the People Operations Coordinator will support core People Operations functions with a focus on compensation administration, employee relations, HRIS data management, and culture initiatives. This is an early career role designed for a developing human resource professional who is eager to learn, highly organized, and motivated to grow their experience and expertise. The Coordinator will partner closely with senior People Operations team members, gaining hands-on experience while providing accurate, responsive, and employee-centered support.

This role requires:

• Candidates must live in the United States.
• Willing to travel to attend twice annual Common App Retreat.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• 2-4 years of experience in a human resources role.
• Strong interest in developing deep Human Resources expertise, particularly in compensation administration and employee relations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, self-starter mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Ability to ask thoughtful questions, accept feedback, and apply learning quickly.
• Basic proficiency with Google Workspace: Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc. 
• Ability to learn HRIS systems.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• SHRM (SHRM-CP) or HRCI (PHR) certification. 
• Advanced HR degree (e.g., Master’s in HR, I/O Psychology, or related field). 
• Additional human resource experience specific to compensation and/or employee relations.
• A passion for higher education is a plus. 

PAY RANGE

Target hiring salary range $59,000 - $66,060
