This role is designed for a seasoned pricing professional with 5+ years of experience in the SaaS or subscription software space. The ideal candidate is a blend of a data scientist and a strategic consultant—someone who can dive deep into large datasets and financial models but also step into a room with senior executives to influence product packaging and go-to-market strategy. The compensation package is competitive, reaching up to $184k plus bonuses and equity. While the role is based on-site at the Austin headquarters, it offers high-impact visibility, allowing you to build and lead a "Pricing Center of Excellence." You’ll move beyond simple price-setting to conduct sophisticated market research using methodologies like Max-Diff and Van Westendorp. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have a strong mastery of Excel and financial modeling for complex B2B software licensing. * Are comfortable conducting primary research to determine customer willingness-to-pay. * Can translate complex data trends into actionable business cases for product teams. * Have experience with two-tier channel or indirect sales models in a global tech environment.

Job Description

SailPoint is seeking a Pricing Strategy Manager to lead and optimize value capture across our innovative product portfolio. In this high-impact role, you will craft and execute pricing strategies that drive profitability, improve win rates, and maximize customer value across our solutions.

As a key leader in pricing strategy, you will influence major decisions, such as researching and developing monetization strategies, setting prices for new products, defining product-line packaging, and developing portfolio pricing strategies. You'll lead the analysis, evaluation, and execution of pricing initiatives with product and go-to-market teams. Beyond specific projects, this role will serve as an internal pricing advisor, own the frequent evaluation of our pricing, and lead customer value and willingness-to-pay research and initiatives.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$109,200 - $184,080.00Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
