This is a elite-level role for a distinguished academic or industrial researcher with a Ph.D. and over 12 years of experience in database internals. You should be a recognized expert in the field, with a history of publishing in top-tier venues like VLDB or SIGMOD and a deep technical understanding of query optimization, storage engines, and hardware-aware performance engineering (SIMD/GPU).
