FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. ## JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: News Producer
FOX 6 News is searching for a motivated and eager producer to support our newscasts. RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you’ll primarily support the flow of our morning newscasts and help bring stories to life. Responsibilities include writing and editing scripts, assisting with show preparation, and helping producers execute daily broadcasts. You may be called to fill in on other newscasts as needed and provide general production support. You’ll also assist with booking, coordinating and supporting guests both on-air and behind the scenes. This position requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a deadline driven environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You must have a college degree (preferably in Journalism). Candidates should have strong writing and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a positive team-oriented attitude. Familiarity with newsroom systems or editing software is helpful but not required. This is a primarily morning news position with early hours, and schedules may vary, weekends, and holidays as needed.
