Summary

This role is ideal for a mid-to-senior level designer (5+ years of experience) who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments. You should have a portfolio that showcases sophisticated systems thinking and the ability to turn complex, "zero-to-one" problems into intuitive user flows. Experience in e-commerce or live-marketplace platforms is a significant advantage. The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from **$153k - $235k**, complemented by a robust benefits package. Standout perks include a "dogfooding" budget to shop on the app, 16 weeks of parental leave, and generous allowances for home office, wellness, and childcare. While there are physical hubs in SF, NY, LA, and Seattle, the team maintains a flexible "remote co-located" philosophy. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Are an expert in **Figma** and advanced prototyping tools like Framer or Protopie. * Have successfully shipped complex products across both consumer-facing and internal-tool surfaces. * Enjoy working in the "ambiguous middle"—taking a high-level concept and defining the UX requirements yourself. * Want to shape the culture of a design team while building the future of live social commerce.

## 💻 Role

Whatnot is looking for thoughtful, experienced Product Designers who are passionate about solving complex problems, designing scalable systems, and building thoughtful experiences that balance user needs with business priorities. You’ll lead the design of end-to-end workflows across high-impact surfaces, whether focused on user-facing features, internal tools, or core platform systems.

You'll report to a Design leader and will have the option to either work from one of our office hubs (LA, SF, NYC, or Seattle) or remote (U.S. only).
