Location: Home based - EMEA

Type: Full-time

This role is designed for high-achieving, senior-level product professionals with a strong foundation in software engineering and a deep passion for open source. The ideal candidate has exceptional academic credentials, an understanding of Linux, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical complexity and business strategy. Since this is a general application track, you will be matched with a specific domain—such as AI/ML, Cloud, IoT, or Telco—based on your expertise. Canonical offers a mature remote-first culture that predates the pandemic, providing stability and global collaboration without the confines of an office. While the base salary is not disclosed, the company provides a performance-driven bonus, a $2,000 annual learning budget, and a unique "Priority Pass" for travel. You will also travel internationally 2–4 times a year for high-intensity team sprints in various global locations. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have a background in software engineering and aim to grow into an entrepreneurial leader. * Thrive in a fully remote, distributed environment but enjoy intensive in-person strategy sessions. * Possess deep technical knowledge in areas like Kubernetes, Ubuntu, or specialized verticals like Automotive/Telco. * Are a "high-signal" communicator who can advocate for open-source solutions to enterprise customers.
