We are seeking a product management professional to join our team as an Associate II, supporting Statutory Disability, Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML), and group Disability and Life insurance offerings within our Employee Benefits (EB) business. This role will support the design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of these programs, with a focus on operational execution and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and launch of group insurance products in alignment with business strategy, including market entry and expansion, product enhancements, renewals, and ongoing maintenance.
• Support market analysis to define product features.
• Develop detailed product specifications, supporting tools, and related documentation, aligned with EB methodologies and practices.
• Develop and submit product filings while leading the overall filing process and interactions with consultants and regulators.
• Plan, forecast, and support the development and marketing of EB products in all stages of the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate all resources necessary and work with cross functional areas to ensure product launch success.
• Manage activities spanning from strategic to tactical.
• Support and lead product strategy initiatives as assigned by management.
• Support analytical studies on profit feasibility of existing and new products.
• Work with Project Management Office to implement company-wide go-to-market plan
• Have advance knowledge of the EB competitive landscape.
• Work with product leadership to support recommended product changes and new product strategy.
• Provide support that ensures effective coordination and communication among stakeholders.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop product related sales tools and collateral material.
• Train internal staff on any new products and features, as needed.
• Lead end-to-end survey development and results analysis to evaluate product features, services, and capabilities, including benchmarking Protective’s Employee Benefits business against competitors.
• Responsible for product policy forms database.
• Meet objectives and goals set forth by management.
• Serve as an EB product SME and represent the Employee Benefits organization in enterprise initiatives.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Proven project management capabilities with advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and satisfy internal and external reporting requirements.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to develop solutions and achieve objectives with limited oversight.
• Advanced presentation skills.
• Strategic mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years of product management experience across statutory PFML and/or disability and absence management products.
• Strong group insurance industry experience with deep expertise in group insurance products and a proven track record of successful product launches.
• Experience with product filing processes, legislative interpretation, and regulatory engagement.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and business insights development.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
