This role is designed for a heavyweight payments expert with over 10 years of experience, specifically within high-volume marketplaces or fintech environments.
Work type: remote
Location: San Francisco, CA | Los Angeles, CA | Seattle, WA | New York, NY
Salary: $240,000 – $320,000/yr
Type: Full-time
This role is designed for a heavyweight payments expert with over 10 years of experience, specifically within high-volume marketplaces or fintech environments. You should have a deep technical understanding of the full payments lifecycle—from processing and payouts to ledger systems and financial reconciliation. Since you'll be reporting to the VP of Product, expect to take high-level ownership of the strategy that moves billions in annual GMV. The compensation package is exceptionally strong ($240k–$320k base), reflecting the mission-critical nature of the role. While the company operates as a "remote co-located" team, you must live within commuting distance of their hubs in NYC, SF, Seattle, or LA. This is a high-growth environment where you’ll balance building 0→1 features with scaling robust infrastructure for international expansion. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have managed complex integrations with processors like Stripe, Adyen, or Braintree at a massive scale. * Enjoy the "internal" side of product, such as building ledgers and tools that help Finance teams close their books. * Can navigate the regulatory and risk complexities of a dual-sided marketplace (buyers and sellers). * Thrive in fast-paced startup environments where you must make high-stakes decisions with imperfect data.
