Work type: remote
Location: Tampa, Florida, United States
Salary: $13 – $18/hr
Type: Full-time
This role is ideal for entry-to-mid-level professionals who are comfortable with a high-intensity, "road warrior" lifestyle. You should have a background in retail inventory, logistics, or warehouse operations, with a preference for those who have worked around medical or pharmaceutical supplies. Since the job involves setting up hospital storage systems and heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), physical stamina is just as important as your ability to use inventory software and Excel. The standout feature of this position is the **extensive nationwide travel**. While the hourly pay is modest ($13–$18/hr), this is a seasonal, full-time opportunity to see different parts of the country while working within the healthcare supply chain. You will gain niche experience with "2-Bin Kanban" systems and HITS technology, which are valuable skills in modern hospital logistics. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Are at least 21 years old and eager to travel across the U.S. frequently. * Have a sharp eye for detail and can accurately count and label thousands of medical items. * Are comfortable with physical labor, including assembling metal shelving and standing for long shifts. * Can pass strict hospital credentialing, including background checks and vaccinations.
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for both traditional medical/surgical supplies management and 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain systems. This role is responsible for the accurate and efficient counting, stocking, and auditing of consumable medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, surgical implants, instruments, and other hospital assets. This role may also be responsible for installing and maintaining 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain lines, including assembling and adjusting inventory storage racks. This is a seasonal temporary position that will require extensive travel.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
