Work type: hybrid
Location: Hybrid - San Francisco
Salary: $120,000 – $140,000/yr
Type: Full-time
This role is ideal for a CPA-track professional with 3+ years of experience, ideally blending Big 4 public accounting with a stint in a high-growth tech environment. You should have a deep mastery of US GAAP (specifically accruals, leases, and commissions) and an "owner" mindset. Vercel is looking for an accountant who doesn't just reconcile sheets but actively seeks to automate manual workflows using AI and modern tooling. The compensation is competitive at $120k–$140k plus equity, with a flexible remote/hybrid policy depending on your proximity to their main hubs (SF, NY, London, Berlin). A standout feature of this role is the focus on innovation—you’ll be encouraged to build AI agents to automate your daily tasks, making it a perfect spot for a tech-forward finance professional. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have a strong foundation in US GAAP and experience with complex areas like M&A onboarding or capitalized commissions. * Are a "process geek" who prefers building automated systems over doing things manually every month. * Enjoy collaborating cross-functionally with FP&A to explain the "why" behind the numbers. * Thrive in fast-paced, "just ship it" cultures where standards are high but autonomy is greater.

## About the Role:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting and scaling Vercel’s accounting operations as the company continues to grow and mature, to operate at standards expected for a public company. Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, this role will own assigned operational accounting areas and be a key contributor to the monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate and timely financial information to support FP&A and business decision-making.
This position will have hands-on responsibility for key accounting areas, including but not limited to accruals, lease accounting, capitalized commissions, payroll accounting, and accounting for subsidiaries related to M&A activity. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with internal teams and external providers to support process improvements, automation, and consistency across the accounting function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
