This role is ideal for a seasoned Android developer with at least 7 years of experience who has worked on multiple large-scale native applications. You should be an expert in Kotlin and have a rock-solid grasp of mobile threading, memory management, and MVVM/MVI architectures. Because this is a high-ownership environment, they are looking for someone who can lead a project from initial scoping through to the final postmortem. The most standout feature is the $178,500 salary, which is fixed regardless of where you live—a rare level of geographic pay equity. As a fully remote, "remote-first" company, you’ll enjoy total schedule flexibility with no core hours, though you should expect two annual week-long trips for team retreats. You’ll also be working on high-impact privacy features like malware protection and autofill for a massive global user base. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Values end-to-end ownership and can drive projects independently without hand-holding. * Prefer a "no core hours" environment where you are judged on output rather than when you're online. * Have deep technical proficiency in Kotlin, Maestro, and complex data structures. * Are comfortable with a hiring process that utilizes AI for initial application screening.
