Work type: remote

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $83,800 – $200,600/yr

Type: Full-time

This role is designed for a seasoned infrastructure professional with at least 6 years of experience specializing in the intersection of Software Defined Storage (SDS) and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate has transitioned from managing legacy enterprise storage (like Pure or NetApp) into modern, automated private cloud environments using Ceph or Longhorn. You should be an expert in the Linux ecosystem with the ability to write production-grade automation in Python, Go, or Ansible. The position offers a broad compensation range up to $200,600, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health coverage for the employee. While the role is "Fully Remote" for most, it provides a hybrid option for those near the San Ramon headquarters. A standout perk is the chance to work on deep "bare metal" Kubernetes implementations and high-throughput mission-critical systems, offering significant technical complexity for those who enjoy low-level infrastructure challenges. **You might be a good fit if you...** * Have deep, hands-on experience deploying and scaling **Ceph** or **Longhorn** storage solutions. * Are proficient at managing **Kubernetes on bare metal** rather than just using managed cloud services (like EKS/GKE). * Treat "infrastructure as code" as a standard, with strong skills in **Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi**. * Enjoy deep-system troubleshooting across networking, hypervisors (vSphere/KVM), and Linux kernels.
