# Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to join a high-performance team working on a project for one of the world’s largest mass media and broadcasting companies. In this role, you will build sophisticated, real-time interfaces that power live event coverage for millions of users globally. This position goes beyond traditional UI development, focusing on complex state orchestration, real-time data synchronization, and high-performance geospatial visualizations.

## Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain complex, predictable UI logic using XState or similar state management solutions

• Develop high-performance, interactive geospatial interfaces using MapLibre, Mapbox, or similar libraries

• Implement and manage real-time data flows using WebSockets and [Socket.IO](http://Socket.IO)

• Optimize rendering performance to ensure smooth user experiences (60fps) under heavy data loads

• Build scalable, modular, and testable front-end applications using React and TypeScript

• Collaborate closely with design and backend teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions

• Ensure clean code practices, documentation, and maintainability across the codebase

• Strong expertise in React and TypeScript

• Experience building complex, state-heavy frontend applications

• Hands-on experience with real-time data flows (WebSockets or event-driven architectures)

• Experience with geospatial visualization libraries (MapLibre, Mapbox, Leaflet, or similar)

• Proven ability to optimize performance for data-intensive interfaces

• Strong coding practices, including writing maintainable, modular, and testable code

• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and design teams

• Experience with XState or finite state machine architectures

• Experience working with vector tiles, custom layers, or advanced geospatial rendering

• Familiarity with [Socket.IO](http://Socket.IO) for real-time communication

• Background in news, sports, live media, or streaming platforms

• Experience with D3.js, Canvas, or WebGL

• Understanding of scalability challenges in large media platforms

• Experience working on high-traffic, globally distributed applications

• Exposure to performance tuning for live, data-heavy user interfaces

• Familiarity with creative or design-driven development environments
