Summary

This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with 8–10+ years of experience, specifically within high-growth startups and ideally a background in investment banking or consulting. You should be a master of complex financial modeling who understands that strategic partnership and "telling the story behind the numbers" are just as important as technical accuracy. The position offers a highly competitive salary range ($144k–$225k) with equity in a well-funded Series D company. It is a fully remote role with robust perks, including a work-from-home stipend, therapy reimbursement, and a dedicated holiday break between Christmas and New Year’s. You will have a high degree of visibility, reporting directly to the executive team and supporting board-level discussions. **You might be a good fit if you:** * Have a proven track record of managing company-wide operating models and R&P processes in a fast-paced environment. * Enjoy "drilling into the weeds" of data while maintaining a high-level strategic perspective for leadership. * Are comfortable navigating the ambiguity of an early-stage startup and want to build scalable automated processes. * Possess the interpersonal skills to influence G&A functional leaders and drive accountability across the organization.

Job Description

Headway’s mission is a big one – to build a new mental health care system everyone can access. We’ve built technology that helps people find great therapists with the first software-enabled national network of providers accepting insurance.

1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the majority of providers don’t accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access by making it easy for therapists to accept insurance and scale their practice.

Headway was founded in 2019. Since then, we’ve grown into a diverse, national network of over 60,000 mental healthcare providers across all 50 states who run their practice on our software and have served over 1 million patients. We’re a Series D company with over $325m in funding from a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Spark Capital, Thrive Capital, Forerunner Ventures and Health Care Service Corporation.

We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.

As Headway’s Senior Manager, FP&A, you will be at the center of the financial processes that drive operational excellence and keep our business moving forward while holding accountability. You will support the overall corporate finance function through the cadence of monthly reporting, forecasting and exec-level KPI reviews. You will serve as a critical business partner to G&A functional leaders across the organization, and identify areas of opportunity while supporting strategic decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, detail-oriented leader who wants to make a significant impact on Headway’s growth and success.
