Job Description
### About ACQ Media
ACQ Media is the in-house media engine behind [Acquisition.com](http://Acquisition.com) and its portfolio of brands led by Alex Hormozi, Leila Hormozi, and Sharran Srivatsaa.
Our mission is to build the leading business media organization in the world by 2030.
We produce high-performance long-form series, podcasts, and daily social content that reach millions of people around the globe. Our content is not vanity media, it is designed to drive measurable reach, deepen brand influence, and create downstream business impact across the entire [Acquisition.com](http://Acquisition.com) ecosystem.
We operate like a studio, not a startup content team. That means structured workflows, batch production, clear performance metrics, and an aggressive commitment to innovation, especially through AI-native production systems.
We are building a repeatable content machine that compounds: more output, higher quality, faster iteration, stronger monetization, and deeper brand equity over time.
If you’re joining ACQ Media, you’re not here to just make content. You’re here to help build a media powerhouse.
## Role
The Senior Sound Designer is the audio authority within ACQ Media's post-production department, responsible for leading all production and post-production audio across multiple high-profile series simultaneously.
This role owns the sound, from set through final mix, ensuring that every piece of content delivers a consistent, premium audio experience that matches the creative intent of each brand.
You will directly manage a team of sound designers, setting standards, mentoring growth, and building scalable audio workflows. You will work hands-on with high-profile talent during production recordings and will drive the final audio mix and sound design across long-form series, podcasts, and social content in post.
This is a leadership role for someone who has mastered the craft and is ready to elevate others. We are looking for an A player without the ego — someone who leads by example, shares knowledge freely, and makes the team around them better every single day.
Reports directly to the Director of Post-Production. Must be in Las Vegas, NV or willing to relocate.
## Responsibilities
### Audio Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of sound designers across all active productions and post pipelines
- Set clear audio quality benchmarks, workflow expectations, and delivery standards for the team
- Actively mentor junior and mid-level sound designers — invest in their growth, give honest feedback, and create an environment where people feel safe to learn and improve
- Foster a team culture that is collaborative, transparent, and built on mutual respect — no gatekeeping, no ego, just great work
- Serve as the primary escalation point for audio decisions across all active series
### Production Audio- Work on-set and in production environments with high-profile talent, ensuring optimal recording quality from the source
- Manage production audio capture across multiple concurrent series, coordinating closely with production teams to ensure clean handoffs into post
- Build and maintain production audio standards and best practices across all shoots to ensure consistency
### Post-Production Audio Mix & Sound Design- Own the full audio post pipeline: dialogue editing, ADR, sound design, music integration, final mix, and delivery
- Deliver broadcast-quality mixes across long-form series, podcasts, DTCs, and social cutdowns
- Ensure sonic consistency across all content for each brand
- Collaborate closely with video editors, creative directors and the Director of Post-Production to ensure sound design and mix decisions serve the story and creative direction
- Manage audio finishing and QC across multiple series simultaneously without compromising quality or timelines
### Workflow Systems & Standards- Build and enforce standardized audio workflows that reduce errors, revision cycles, and last-minute fixes
- Create clear intake and handoff standards so production recordings land in post clean and organized
- Develop audio playbooks for each brand that document sound design direction, mix templates, and delivery specs
- Maintain visibility into audio workloads and flag resourcing or timeline risks early and proactively
- Own the final audio quality bar across all content output
- Review and approve team deliverables, providing clear, constructive, and actionable feedback
### AI Integration & Audio Innovation- Identify, test, and implement AI tools that improve audio cleanup, noise reduction, dialogue restoration, and mixing efficiency
- Partner with the Director of Post-Production to integrate AI-driven audio solutions into daily workflows
- Share learnings with the team openly; innovation here is a team sport
## Requirements- 5+ years of experience in professional sound design and audio post-production, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
- Proven experience managing or mentoring other sound designers or audio professionals
- Deep expertise in production audio, dialogue editing, sound design, music integration, and final mix for long-form and short-form content
- Experience working directly with talent on set in high-pressure, high-profile production environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple series simultaneously without dropping quality or missing deadlines
- High taste level: you have strong instincts for what makes audio feel premium, immersive, and on-brand
- Familiarity with AI audio tools (including but not limited to iZotope RX, Adobe Enhance, or equivalent, etc) and a genuine curiosity for what's next
- Comfortable working within project management systems ([Monday.com](http://Monday.com)) and collaborative post pipelines
- A genuine team player! You give credit, share knowledge, ask for input, and make people feel heard
- Strong communicator who is direct, transparent, and solution-oriented when challenges arise
- YouTube and podcast audio experience is a significant plus
## Results- A consistent, premium audio standard is established and maintained across all ACQ Media content and audiences feel the difference
- Audio post moves through the pipeline cleanly, on time, and without recurring rework or last-minute escalations
- The sound design team is actively growing and sound designers are receiving mentorship, developing skills, and producing higher quality work over time
- Production audio handoffs into post are clean, organized, and rarely require remediation
- AI audio tools are embedded into daily workflows, reducing tedious manual work and freeing the team to focus on craft
- Every sound designer on the team knows exactly what's expected of them, feels supported in their role, and is proud of the work they put out
- ACQ Media's audio quality becomes a recognizable and respected part of its brand identity
# Location:
