Type: Full-time
This role is designed for a veteran individual contributor with at least 8–10 years of experience, specifically in complex technical domains like fintech, payments, or risk management. You should be a "player-coach" type—someone who is obsessed with high-fidelity craft and systems thinking but can also drive long-term strategy and mentor other designers without having direct reports.
The compensation is highly competitive and location-based, ranging from $172k to $253k plus significant equity. While the role is listed as remote-friendly across several major hubs, there is a hybrid expectation for those near Denver, SF, or NYC (2-3 days in-office). You’ll be joining a mission-driven team at the core of the business, re-architecting payment systems and defining net-new interaction models for sophisticated financial workflows.
**You might be a good fit if you...**
* Have a portfolio that showcases polished UX and visual design for data-heavy or highly regulated systems.
* Are comfortable operating in high-ambiguity environments where you must define the patterns from scratch.
* Enjoy collaborating directly with engineering and risk teams to solve "unsexy" but mission-critical infrastructure problems.
* Are fluent in modern AI design workflows and evolving large-scale design systems.
