# Job Description Summary

The Site Planning Designer is responsible for creating accurate and high quality 2D installation drawings for GE HealthCare medical equipment.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient installation projects by translating technical requirements into clear and practical layouts.
You will work closely with project managers and internal technical teams, initially support projects in Japan and subsequently take responsibility for projects across the APAC region.
This position is well suited for someone with strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow technical expertise in the medical industry.

# Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D installation drawings using AutoCAD based on project and technical requirements


• Apply standard architectural and construction concepts to equipment layout planning


• Deliver drawings with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and deadlines


• Coordinate with:


• Project Managers


• Modality / technical teams

• Ensure drawings meet internal technical, safety, and regulatory standards


• Support multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities effectively


• Contribute to continuous improvement of drawing processes and workflow efficiency


• Support the use of digital tools to improve design quality and productivity

• Japanese: Mandatory


• Native or fluent level required for daily communication and documentation

• English: Basic level required


• Ability to read and write simple emails or technical information


• Willingness and motivation to continuously improve English communication skills in a global work environment


• Business‑level English is a plus (Nice to Have), not mandatory

• Practical experience using any Architectural CAD software


• Ability to understand technical requirements and reflect them accurately in drawings


• Strong attention to detail and quality


• Ability to manage deadlines and work on multiple tasks


• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Knowledge or experience related to medical equipment installation


• Experience with Revit or similar design tools


• Exposure to international or cross‑regional projects


• Background in architecture, engineering, construction, or facilities design
